Trade Shows - The 2008 SAMPE exposition will be held in Long Beach, CA at the Convention center from May 18 – 22, with exhibition dates of May 20-22. Instruments - You may not have known this, but as our name implies, not only do we provide the best testing services available, but now offer a new line of instruments to measure the Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE), Coefficient of Moisture Expansion (CME) Thermal Conductivity and now a Refractoriness Under Load / Creep in Compression (RUL/CIC) instrument. They are:

• MI-900: Michelson laser interferometer for CTE measurements, reference ASTM E-289
  
• LV-5: LVDT quartz dilatometers for CTE measurements, reference ASTM E 228
  
• TKE-1225: Steady State Thermal conductivity system for cryogenic temperatures, reference ASTM E 1225
  
• CME-102: will simultaneously measure the moisture mass and dimensional expansion of polymer based composite materials
  
• Model#: RUL/CIC – 1893 RUL/CIC will provide an index of refractory quality and CIC is a time-dependent property which determines deformation.
  

Metrology - PMIC has expanded its Metrology Test area with improved computerized machine vision capabilities for characterizing meter bars and surface reference points.
